Aishwarya Rai has been paid 40 million rupees for "Robot" directed by Shankar . The film also stars Rajnikant . With this Aishwarya Rai has become the highest paid actress in bollywood . She has given three blockbusters , back to back to back , in Guru , Dhoom 2 and Jodha Akbar . There were times when Aishwarya rai was considered a flop actress just like Kareena Kapoor.But it seems like relationship with Abhishek Bachchan has done wonders for her in personal and professional life .Madhuri Dixit was the first to break the "crore" barrier for bollywood actresses . She demanded and got a One Crore rupees for "Raja" .The sole USP of "Raja" was Madhuri dixit . The film was a blockbuster and it was only due to Madhuri Dixit . So things are looking up for BollyWood gals.But still this amount is nothing as compared to the male actors .Rajnikant got a cool 150 million rupees plus 50% share in the profit of "Robot" .Now will Rajnikant share the loss as well if the film does not do well ? Probably not . The height is that , Rajnikant cannot guarantee the success of a film outside the Tamil belt still he is paid much more than a bollywood actors . Same is the story for male Bollywood actors . Many male actors get much more than their worth while most of the female actors get less then their worth.
