Shahrukh Khan was supposed to play lead in Shankar's "Robot" . Due to some reason or the other he was not able to allot dates to this prestigious project . Hritik was first approached for this project , but he turned it down . Finally amir has agreed to do "Robot".Amir Khan plays a scientist in this film who designs a Robot as a toy for his physically challenged child.But things go wrong and the Robot goes on a killing spree.Finally amir decides to destroy this state-of-art Robot .
Amir Khan seems to have replaced Shahrukh Khan in Rajkumar hiranis next film . No love was lost between Hirani and Shahrukh , due to the "Paheli" and "Munnabhai" face-off for the Oscars.Finally after a lot of twists and turns and requests , Shahrukh agreed to do Hirani's film .But seems as if hirani has finally settled for Amir.
Previously too , Amir has done films like "Lagaan" which have been refused by arrogant Sharukh and turned them into some of the all time hits.Seems as if Amir has a better understanding of scripting and films than Shahrukh.
